Each card has been binned and tuned to deliver the best out-of-the-box Turing™experience, raising the bar for graphics horsepower in small chassis and air-cooled builds.
With pump, tubing, and radiator integrated seamlessly under the shroud, the Matrix is cooler and quieter than air-cooled cards while taking up the same amount of space. An oversized heat spreader covers the GPU die and RAM to ensure the most critical components are kept cool. To top it all off, we included three of our industry-leading Axial-tech fans to push cool air through the radiator while simultaneously cooling the VRMs.

The Matrix's internal closed-loop water cooling system is the first of its kind. Combining the performance of an external closed-loop hybrid with the minimal footprint of a standard air-cooled card introduced many design challenges, such as miniaturizing a water pump to squeeze between the shroud and PCB. The effort paid off by delivering headroom to propel the Matrix's clock speeds to a new level of performance for builds without custom water loops.

Current hybrid designs typically utilize a single fan to cool the VRM and memory. The ROG Matrix GeForce RTX™2080 Ti blows those cards out of the water with three powerful Axial-tech fans. These fans, newly designed for the latest generation of top-end ROG graphics cards, feature a smaller hub for longer blades, a barrier ring to increase downward air pressure, and IP5X dust resistance for a longer lifespan.
A key benefit of liquid-cooling is low noise level, and the ROG Matrix GeForce RTX™2080 Ti has been designed with that goal in mind. The Axial-tech fans cooling the radiator can spin down to a complete standstill when the GPU core temperature remains below 55 Celsius, letting you enjoy light gaming in relative silence. As temps rise past the threshold, the fans automatically start up again.

To deal with varying game and application workloads, the Turing™architecture can change speeds in an instant, necessitating a power delivery circuit with the reserves to handle the onslaught when you dial up the clock. The ROG Matrix GeForce RTX™features a 16 + 3 phase VRM that pairs premium capacitors, DrMOS power stages, and alloy-core chokes capable of pushing performance well beyond the redline.
The radiator and pump aren't light-weight additions to the ROG Matrix GeForce RTX™2080 Ti, so our engineers have boosted the card's structural integrity by outfitting it with a metal brace that prevents excessive torsion and lateral bending of the PCB and protects the VRM solution with an overhead bar.

The ROG team has been building up the GPU Tweak II software utility to offer unique features along with the standard monitoring, tweaking, and tuning you would expect.
