Bought a Dyson DC24 Ball upright in 2008. A great machine, compact light 5kg, easy to carry upstairs with attached tools's, a handle that could be lowered so very compact for storage. Sadly dyso no longer make this machine. Dyson upright options are now over 7kg and the handle cannot be lowered for compact storage. I decided to try a handheld Dyson V10 wich failed from the start. The trigger required 6/7 pulls to start, it then times many, would cut out in use. A static red light would then be displayed on the batter. The machine has been returned for a replacement. Purchased to replace a faulty V6 , just wish I had bought it sooner. This vacuum has obviously been improved and is more powerful & effective. Battery time is good especially if using the 3 levels of suction power effectively. It is also easier to attach the attachments and to empty. The only negative is that the main compartment is bulkier and takes up more space sitting in the wall charger. Read more
